Dreams are fabulous representative of our subconscious self. They reflect our perception and perspective about our goals and ambitions. However, most dreams get stuck in the conception stage. Most people find it difficult to put wheels on their goals to set it in motion and they end up rotten at inception. Some people dream and immediately pull the handbrake out of fear of the journey ahead. Be courageous and saddle up to bear every cross that might come with the materialisation of your dream. "“Whatever you do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius and power and magic in it.”- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
How to Set Your Dream in Motion
  1. Dream Big, Start Small: Every great entrepreneur, inventor, world leader started this way. No one jumped from zero to hero by just looking at their dream in the eye and saying, “You know what, we’re going to be this great.” without acting out their confession. Don’t choke yourself with the magnanimity of your dream. Pick it from scratch and build up. Courage, consistency and persistence are the motor and lubricant of excellence. Consistent and persistent action drives the ball into the net. Do not despise or be scared of your little beginning. Work your dream out with all diligence and be determined to bring the best out of it no matter the problems posed by (controllable and uncontrollable) factors.
  2. Push the Boat Out: Celebrate every milestone achieved during the cause of achieving your dream. This will not only spur you on to be more creative/productive but also bridge the gap between your dream and its destination.
  3. Seek Expert Advice: A closed mouth is a closed destiny. Achievement is not rocket science. No matter what, your dream wouldn’t be entirely new to the world. When stuck, share your dream with relevant people. Ask for help and direction.
  4. Invite Others: A dream is better and quickly fulfilled when pursued by people with like minds. Don’t be too overprotective of your dream. Be free to invite important people you know would add value to the quality of your goal. Recruiting people to help drive your dream has to be smartly done so you won’t be at the receiving end. But hey, you’ve to risk it to get the biscuit!
  5. Go All-Out: Do not - let anything - limit your dream. Keep your dream scope as wide as the space in the sky. Keep giving it your best shot till you can consistently produce the best result and more. Don’t be afraid to fail and try again. Be dogged, keep going and you’ll get to the finishing line faster than you envisage.
