Forging Ahead

I bless God for another opportunity to be able to do what I love doing best. I also want to say thank you for joining me today. In the past couple of weeks that I was away, I've been able to learn quite a lot which I would be sharing on this platform going forward - one of which the above subject is based on.
November 2016, I was at an official gathering where the words 'Forging Ahead' directed the course of the programme.
At the end of that lovely event - and 7 months down the line - I've been able to fully grasp and implement what these words advised.
Forging Ahead
The word forge was first ascribed to the movement of a ship on water whereby it (ship) moves slowly but steadily and most importantly in a positive direction towards its destination despite its heavy built. Over time, the word has been coined to mean the steady and gradual advancement towards a goal in the face of difficulty or resistance.
Oftentimes, we've been fazed by situations Whose front end requirement is for us to quit. Personally, I've lost count the number of times I have had to lay low and 'accept fate' when things take undeserved turns. However, I've realised that the power steering of our lives is in our hands just like a vehicle is in the hands of a driver. No matter how bumpy, bad, potholed, unpaved, tough, rough, unpleasant, unwelcoming, irritating, muddy, curvy, bent, long, untarred, the road is, the driver will always keep his head straightened and find a way to navigate through all and safely arrive at his destination. Drivers will remain unshaken, unmoved and face the road squarely mentally mapping out strategies to scale through with minimal collateral damage. They do not let the road control their decision rather they take hold of the situation by the scruff of the neck.

Key Notes
1. Tough time will always come: This is a sure banker for anyone who wants to achieve a personally defined level of greatness in life. Brace up for tough times. They are stubborn and would always keep popping up at every defining moments of your life. But guess what? There's an antidote to it! PRDT - Perseverance, Resilience, Diligence and Tenacity!
2. The bigger your dream, the bigger the challenge: Need I say more on this? OK, here's the drill. How easy is it to make #1,000 per month? I know your answer already. You're like, "Are you kidding me? I make and even more that virtually every day." Great, so how easy is it to make #10,000 or even #100,000 every day? I can see you're scratching your scalp now. It requires 90% more efficient to jump from #1,000 to #10.000 and and extra 9% to jump to #100,000. That explains how much effort is required for dreams to become reality.
3. You're in control: Don't ever feel like your life is determined ruled by external factors. You're what you think as the good book says. If you've subconsciously defeated yourself then whatever output you churn out won't measure up. Remember, tough people always find a (good) way of making unpleasant external factors their friends.
4. Take Stock: At every point in your life, review and evaluate the level of success achieved so far. Measure against your goal to pick out your performance level. Whether good or bad, pick up the fragments of Lesson learnt, recalibrate and apply to your life and goal.
5. Keep your oars out: "Success is going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm" - Sir Winston Churchill. Keep striving, keep moving, don't give in, don't give up the fight no matter what. Keep forging ahead 'cause you're closer than you think.
